OUTDOOR & ADVENTURE FILMMAKER
DHAVAL JAJAL

My filmmaking journey began on my first trek to Rupin Pass in 2016. I carried a camera to capture the mountains, but somewhere along the trail, I became fascinated by something else - the stories that unfold when people step into the outdoors.

That curiosity has taken me across Himalayan passes, dense forests, remote villages, and countless trails. Along the way, I've worn many hats: trek leader, outdoor educator, video producer, and filmmaker. Each role taught me something different, but they all shared one thing in common - a deep connection with nature and the people who spend time in it.

Before starting Expedition Eye Films, I spent five years with Indiahikes, first leading treks in the Himalayas and later heading their video production team. Those years taught me how to work in challenging environments, understand the outdoor community, and tell stories that feel authentic. In the outdoors, the most meaningful moments are rarely planned.

Today, through Expedition Eye Films, I create documentaries and brand films for outdoor, adventure, conservation, and nature-focused organisations. I've had the opportunity to work with brands such as Decathlon, NthAdventure, Nature Guide Academy, and others who believe in the transformative power of the outdoors.

My approach is simple: spend time in the field, understand the people behind the story, and create films that feel honest. Whether I'm filming on a Himalayan expedition, documenting conservation work in a forest, or telling the story behind an outdoor brand, I'm always looking for stories that help people connect more deeply with nature.

When I'm not filming, you'll usually find me training for a long-distance run, studying documentary films, or planning my next journey into the mountains.
